Earth Science knowledge helps everyone understand the Earth's processes, resources, history, and human impact. Throughout civilization, humans have depended on Earth's natural resources for survival and advances in technology. We are significantly impacted by natural disasters and extreme weather. By monitoring the changes on Earth we are able to predict and prepare for these changes. People who understand Earth Sciences are better equipped to make informed decisions about water management, engineering, climate changes, and the responsible use of our natural resources. Earth Science education benefits everyone.
